Ilya Palatnik

Rebuild Cleveland


Born in the former USSR, Ilya Palatnik and his family refuged to the USA in 1989. His father, a renowned sculptor and mother a engineer, the family had to restart fully their lives. Starting work at the age of 16 Ilya began a career in electronics production and retail sales, traveling across the USA offering personal computers at national trade show events. At the age of 24 he was offered a position at All State Home Mortgage, the start of a life long career in real estate and finance. Joining ASHM as a mortgage loan officer Ilya quickly acclimated to the industry and within months progressed to a team leader/sales manager. Upon his third year in lending Ilya graduated to open his first residential mortgage lending branch with Americas Lending Solutions. In the years to come Ilya progressed to become the Regional Director for Goldwater Bank, a southwest organization that he helped bring to the northeast along with structuring over twenty new production locations. Furthering his success Ilya was offered the position of Executive Vice President at CrossCountry Mortgage, one of the largest national lending institutions.

 

During his tenor in the mortgage industry Ilya also involved himself in residential home development, commercial real estate acquisitions, development and portfolio management. In 2011 while traveling in the Ukraine Ilya met Igor Velykyy, his soon to be partner in an international art production company. In 2014 Ilya and Igor started Sky Fountains Inc, designing and producing kinetic light installations. The company later branched off to DION Art LLC, producing light sculptures and water features throughout Europe, Ukraine, Russia and the Middle East. After the start of the Russia/Ukraine war Ilya sponsored Igor’s family along with two other Ukrainian families as refugees into the USA. After Igor’s arrival he and ilya began rebuilding DION Art and Sky Fountains in Cleveland Ohio. Now operating with a showroom in downtown Cleveland and having several projects working in the greater Cleveland area.


Since the beginning of Ilya’s career in the mortgage industry he has had a close personal and business relationship with Jamie Fiore. Jamie brought Ilya into the mortgage industry and mentored him for the first 3 years of his career. Later in life, Jamie approached Ilya to explore a wellness industry concept called Soul Space, bringing a health and wellness space and way of life to urban areas. The project was put on hold during the pandemic but is now in full motion with a state of the art med spa, wellness lounge and health café being developed with a launch date of April 2024 in Gordon Square. A second and third location for the concept are being considered for a state in 2025.
