At the 2024 Gratitude Gathering, we will celebrate our shared commitment to fostering safety and resiliency in children. The event promises an inspiring evening with renowned speakers, personal stories of transformation, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share our passion for creating positive change.

The Judge Ron Alvarez Resiliency Award

The Judge Ron Alvarez Resiliency Award, named in honor of the pioneering legal mind of Judge Ron Alvarez, recognizes those in the legal system who are advocates for a more comprehensive understanding of the science of adversity. The recipient works tirelessly to promote a trauma-informed approach to legal practice, making our legal system more compassionate and equitable for vulnerable children and families.



In 2019, the award was given to Judge Alvarez at our Family Law Mental Health Summit, honoring his compassionate and trauma-informed approach within the juvenile court system. Judge Alvarez was trauma-informed before most of us knew what it meant, making a profound impact on the lives of thousands of children in Palm Beach County. We are deeply honored that his wife, Elaine, will allow us to continue honoring his legacy with this award.
