This panel begins a series of collaborative events between Chiemi Ogura, a bamboo craft artist from Kyoto, Japan, and Joshua Yazzie, a basket weaver from Gila River Indian Community. It will take place at Arizona State University (ASU).
In a panel moderated by ASU Assistant Teaching Professor Xavier Nokes, Ogura and Yazzie will discuss their respective considerations of materials, tradition and individuality, and the future of creation.
