Dowagiac Summer Festival & BBQ Competition

Friday, July 19 & Saturday July 20, 2024



Vendors, carnival rides and activities will be located on the streets that are closed to traffic in Dowagiac's central business district. We will attract 3,000+ people.

 Friday, July 19

10:00 - 12:00 pm Load in - Street Vendors

12:00 - 7:00 pm Street Vendors open on Front Street

5:30 pm  Steve’s Run Starts and ends at Front/Beeson

6:00 - 10:00 pm Live entertainment and beer tent @ Oak+Ash

Steve's Run sponsored by SMC will run down the center of Front Street Friday at 5:30. We encourage booths to stay open until 7:00 pm as runners and their families will be present.  

Saturday, July 20

8:00 -10:00 am Load in - Street Vendors                                                          

10:00 - 5:00 pm Street Vendors open on Front Street

10:00 - 6:00 pm Live music, children's activities, BBQ Competition, in store promotions

1:00 - 3:00 pm Dance performances at Commercial and Front Street intersection

4:30 pm Announcement of the BBQ winners

Participants furnish their own set-up and provide full cleanup of their area. All participants will receive a 10x10 space. Vehicles permitted on the street only during load in and load out times. Streets will remain closed Friday evening. You may leave your tent up on Friday evening, secured in case of wind or rain.

Cost: $50 includes both days, however you don't have to attend both days.
