THRIVE Youth Conference Registration 2024

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUTH MUST HAVE A CHAPERONE PRESENT AT THE CONFERENCE TO ATTEND. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMDATE YOUTH WITHOUT A CHAPERONE.


Please limit to 5 youths per tribe/organization

Each Chaperone can have up to 5 Youth under their name. Please make sure you fill out the Youth and Chaperone Registration.

We will try to give youth their first or second choice of workshops. Beats, Lyrics and Leaders is limited to 35 youth, Movement is Medicine is 15 and Sewing Circle is 15. Please register your youth with their preferred workshop and we will work to accommodate as many youth as possible in their preferred workshop.

Beats, Lyrics and Leaders

Using Hip Hop Education, youth will build character and leadership skills through the art of music, beat making, lyric writing, and song structure. We will explore the art of business, culture, dreams, and entrepreneurship within team building and skill building exercises. BLL teaching artists are masters of their crafts and have collectively been in the music industry, and underground Hip Hop scene for over 40 years. Many of the artists have traveled the globe using their talents of music, messages of persistence, audacious hope, and love Which they will bring to THRIVE This workshop will leave students inspired for years to come.** Limit 35 Youth

Movement is Medicine We R Native

Join the We R Native and THRIVE team as we blend traditional activities and cultural teachings with different ways to improve your leadership skills and overall mental health. Workshop participants will be active all week as they learn how to tie their own hand drums, as well as practice their archery. Youth will also have an opportunity to make their own Indigenous first aid kit. **Limit to 15 youth- These youth will travel off-site for some activities

Sewing Circle

Explore through sewing and connecting. During this workshop, youth will learn how to use small sewing machines, make ribbon attire, and other small sewing projects. Youth will be able to take all of these items home with them. Through Fashion, youth will practice healthy ways to express emotions, work toward goals, and create change in their community. Participants will learn how to create their designs, adapt designs they enjoy, and implement various techniques for clothing. Sewing is a great skill for customizing clothing at every stage of life. All materials will be provided but youth can bring ribbon or beads from home for design if they want! ** Limit 15 youth
