Exciting news! This year, we're thrilled to continue a new tradition: a third half-day session exclusively for Florida coalitions and partners actively engaged in community-level prevention. This session, focused on developing Florida-specific drug demand reduction strategies, is hosted by CCA and is a complimentary add-on to the summit. You can easily select this option during the registration process.

New this year! We are excited to announce that we will have several sessions dedicated to reducing marijuana use during pregnancy and postpartum. The sessions will identify new trends that make women vulnerable to use, discuss the endocannabinoid system and the relationship between marijuana and the impact to the female mind and body, and review the current research pertaining to addiction and parenting and effective ways to communicate safety and deterrence.

We will also host a marijuana and pregnancy community fireside chat on the evening of the 19th featuring a diverse panel of experts including Dr. Bertha Madras, Dr. Higgins, Jacqueline Hall, and Julie Schauer. This community event will be free to attend and open to the public. Presented here is a flyer featuring the expert speakers for these sessions. Kindly distribute it among your colleagues.

Naloxone Narcan Awareness Training, provided at no cost, will be held on the evening of Tuesday, February 20. The session will be conducted by Dan Zsido, a retired Lieutenant from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, who currently serves as the Training and Education Director of NADDI (National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators).
