| In conjunction with the 71st Annual International Education Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Right of Way International Education Foundation (RWIEF) and the Canadian Right of Way Education Foundation (CRWEF) are hosting their 29th Annual Golf Tournament. The Cavalier Classic will be held at Cypress Point Country Club on June 3, 2025. Located just 15 miles from the Cavalier Hotel area, Cypress Point Country Club is considered one of the top courses open to the public in Virginia Beach. Designed by Thomas Clark, this 6,541-yard, par 72 course features rolling bermuda fairways and plush bent-grass greens. It has received the VA Pilot's "Best of the Best" award nine times. Play will be a four-person scramble format. The tournament is limited to 144 participants, and all proceeds are donated to the Education Foundations. Sign up as a single, twosome, threesome or foursome. We will do our best to pair up singles, twosomes and threesomes. Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. with use of the range as well as a chipping or putting contest before the 9:00 a.m. tee time. The fee to enter is $150 USD per person, and includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, a small breakfast item and a full catered lunch after the round. Prizes will be given for closest to the pin on the par 3’s, long drive for both men and women, as well as the top 3 places. A large raffle will also follow the event.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals, chapters or companies who wish to further support the goals of the Education Foundations. Sponsorships range from the Premium $5,000 level (only one available), to sponsoring individual holes for $300 USD. All activities related to the tournament will be handled by the RWIEF, a 501-c-3 organization, which is a separate entity from IRWA. Registration for the general membership will open on January 13, 2025. Online Registration is required. Payment by credit card is highly encouraged. However, if necessary, other arrangements can be made by contacting the tournament chair. Please click Register Now! link below to register online.
A limited number of rental club sets are available at a cost of $60 per set, on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are required for these sets through the registration system. They must be pre-registered and paid for through the tournament registration. The golf course will not reserve rental clubs directly. We recommend bringing your own clubs this year, if possible.
