The R.I.S.E. Up Academy serves middle school and high school boys and young men of color residing in District 4 of DeKalb County. The program aims to cultivate positive social behaviors. Increasing knowledge in key areas such as positive attitudinal development, self-esteem building, learning how to maintain healthy lifestyles and relationships. Contributing to the well-being of one's community. This culturally enriched leadership and literacy program aims to develop, empower and educate coping and resilient skills. The Morehouse College Center for Broadening Participation in Computing serves as the host organization and community partner for the R.I.S.E. Up Academy.

Get ready for an amazing journey! We're thrilled to offer DeKalb teen girls a chance to shine bright, no matter what challenges they face daily. By the end of this program, we'll have a group of 13-18 year olds who are super confident, socially savvy, emotionally strong, well-informed about life, and ready to rock with their smart choices! ?

Y.E.P. (Young Entrepreneurship Program) is designed to provide youth entrepreneurs with a fun-filled day to amplify, incubate, and support the endeavors of youth entrepreneurs within DeKalb County. Students participating in the YEP program will range in age from six (6) to twenty-four (24) years. OYS creates a market and opportunity for young entrepreneurs of the DeKalb area to share their inventions, products and services with the community. As well as networking with one another, engage with community partners and members

Girls ClubHouse Mini*s is a FREE girl's program launching in Summer 2024! Girls ClubHouse Mini*s program will offer validation and support to young ladies 8-11 through six (6)-weeks of Girls In Real Life Situation (K-5) curriculum. Girls ClubHouse Mini*s will explore STEM activities, art therapy, and group sessions to promote self-esteem and self-expression in a safe and supportive space.

Join us for an immersive 6 week course. This program combines the power of therapeutic art activities and good music. Designed specifically for young men that attend Middle School and High School "Street Dreams to Fruition" aims to spark meaningful conversations, ignite inspiration, and cultivate a strong sense of self. Come join us on Tuesday's from 6:30pm -8:00pm @ Exchange Recreation as we uncover "The Art of Conversation." (Limited to 15 participants per course)

The Sights N’ Sounds program is designed to serve high school teens who have an expressed

interest in pursuing a career in the arts. This culturally enriched, leadership and expressive program will help participants to gain interest and pursue a career in the entertainment field through our four focus areas of

learning which include: Film Production, Photography/Videography, Music Production, and

Recording.

The DeKalb County Youth Commission Program (DCYCP) is a comprehensive initiative designed to equip young people (Grades 10th- 12th) with the tools, knowledge and experiences needed to become effective leaders in their communities and beyond.

The program seeks to harness the diverse talents, energy, and perspectives of DeKalb County youth, offering them a platform to voice their ideas and contribute to the well-being of their communities. The program runs year round and they meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month with the exception of community service projects on the weekend. It currently has sponsorship from Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson (District 5) and Commissioner Ted Terry (Super District 6).

OYS provides a variety of FREE youth programs and services throughout DeKalb County, such as mentoring, career exploration, mental health support, youth entrepreneurship, and leadership development to youth ages 0- 18.
