This presentation describes a pilot project sponsored by Manatee County that integrates a live coastal storm surge and tide forecasting system with an inland rainfall, runoff, and surface hydraulics forecasting system. The combined system is called FloodWise, a real-time flood forecasting product developed by Streamline Technologies, Inc. and is powered by the H&H engine StormWise, formerly ICPR4. This flood forecasting system runs 24/7 and predicts combined storm surge and rainfall induced flooding at the street and house level several days into the future. |
