DINNER MEETING & SPEAKER

Stay for our cocktail hour on the terrace as the golfers finish up from 4pm - 5pm and join us for the golf prizes and dinner meeting to follow. Then we'll hear from two excellent Canadian presenters. Shaena Furlong of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce will kick us off with a brief overview of western Canadian business and manufacturing perspectives from this busy, international port region. Then Christa Seaman of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada returns to inform on the broader industry and Canadian outlook.

Christa Seaman

Vice-President at Plastics for the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, Christa is responsible for delivering the strategic direction for the Plastics Division and advocating for policies, legislation and investment conditions that will enable a low carbon circular economy for plastics. Christa has over 20 years of experience across the public and private sector with a focus on policy analysis and advocacy, government relations and communication. She spent over half that time focused on climate change policy and regulatory development in the energy sector, including participating on numerous multi-stakeholder advisory committees. Christa’s focus transitioned to plastics policy in Canada in 2018 and since then has participated on and moderated numerous panels related to plastics and the circular economy. Christa has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
