Advent by Candlelight is a beloved Clear Water Academy tradition, an evening for women to step away from the busyness of the season and enter into the quiet beauty and hope of Advent.
Gather by candlelight and enjoy a glass of wine, delicious nibbles and decadent desserts while sharing an evening of friendship, reflection and prayer.
For these two hours, there is nothing you need to organize, prepare or accomplish. Simply come and receive.
Like Mary, we are invited to quiet our hearts, trust in God's promises and make room for Christ to enter more deeply into our lives. Perhaps the greatest gift we can give our families this Christmas is not one more perfectly prepared detail, but a heart that has made room for Jesus.
Come with your girlfriends. Invite your mother, sister, neighbour or someone who could simply use a beautiful evening away. All women are welcome.
Let the world grow quiet for a little while. And prepare Him room.
