Josh is a native of Fairborn, OH and received a scholarship to play college football for the University of Buffalo. After graduation, he moved back home and had a hard time finding his way. Casey Williams, SVP of Patient Engagement at RevSpring Casey Williams has over twenty years of experience in developing intelligent patient communications and payment applications that build a strategic relationship with clients and their patients. He’s currently responsible for the payment applications technology and strategy in processing over $7.5 billion in patient payments annually. He has held various leadership positions within healthcare trade organizations such as HFMA, AAHAM and COPAM. Casey’s knowledge of patient engagement strategies, including modifying patient behavior and self-service optimization, has made him a go-to speaker/presenter for HFMA, Healthcare Finance Institute, and Litmos Healthcare Division (formerly Bridgefront) to name a few. He is the co-author of Reinventing Revenue Cycle Management: Delivering Next-Level Patient Experiences and has also been published in Becker’s Hospital Review and Executive Insight magazine. 1:30 PM: Break 1:45 PM: Automating Registration Randy Gabel, Senior Director of Revenue Cycle at OhioHealth Randy started in healthcare in 1986 after graduating from The Ohio State University. He joined OhioHealth in 2010 and directed the revenue cycle applications deployment of Epic in 2013. In 2018, he transitioned to Revenue Cycle operations where he served as Sr. Director of Patient Access Services. Randy has also led teams in corporate cash posting, RAC audit team, revenue cycle finance team, revenue cycle reporting and analytics team, and revenue integrity. His interest in making registration easier for patients led him to look at patient self service solutions. (e-checkin, MyChart, Welcome, etc). Moderator: Nick Rhodes, Director of Finance at Nationwide Children's Hospital Toledo, Board Member COPAM Girish Dighe - System Vice President of Revenue Cycle at OhioHealth. Girish earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and completed a Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University with combined residency training at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In his current role, Girish oversees all lines of business for revenue cycle management and patient access across the enterprise. Previous professional experience includes various positions with the Diabetes Business Unit and Osteoporosis Division at Eli Lilly and Company. His professional affiliations include the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Society of Health System Pharmacists, and Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He is an assistant professor at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Practice. Additionally, he precepts pharmacy residents and students throughout the year from numerous colleges of pharmacy. Heather Welch – Senior Director Revenue Cycle at Firelands Health Heather joined Firelands Health as the senior director of revenue cycle in September 2023. She oversees patient accounting, patient access, health information management, recovery audit contractors and denials management, and financial counseling. She has worked in healthcare over 25 years and has a bachelor’s degree in health information management from the University of Cincinnati as well as an associate degree from BGSU Firelands in health information management. Heather is a Registered Health Information Administrator with American Health Information Management Association and a Certified in Healthcare Compliance. She has worked for a Lorain health system for 10 years in coding compliance and consulted for 15 years in revenue integrity. Julia McGraw, CMA, CPC, CMSCS – Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle at Southern Ohio Medical Center Julia started her career at Southern Ohio Medical Center in 1989 in clinical roles, left the organization for a time to pursue private practice management and returned to SOMC 17 years ago. Julia has held a variety of job titles during her tenure and has been in her current role of Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle for the past 6 years.
