Dr. Alison Hazelbaker teaches class participants how to use the Hazelbaker Assessment Tool for Lingual Frenulum Function (ATLFF) in detail. It is the only evidence-based assessment tool available. The first half of the day is lecture based. During the second half, class participants have the opportunity to practice their assessments on live babies with Dr. Hazelbaker's guidance. Volunteer babies range from normal to faux tie to post-revision, giving class participants an opportunity to differentiate between variations in lingual frenulum. |
