In conjunction with the 72nd Annual International Education Conference in Omaha, Nebraskania, the Right of Way International Education Foundation (RWIEF) and the Canadian Right of Way Education Foundation (CRWEF) are hosting their 30th Annual Golf Tournament. The Cornhusker Classic will be held at Tregeron Golf Course on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Located just 13 miles from the Omaha Convention Center, Tregeron Golf Course is a 6,508 yard, par 71 layout that offers something for every golf enthusiast. Playing Tregaron is as thrilling as it is beautiful. The expansive undulating greens require a deft putting stroke. Tregaron’s rolling blue and rye-grass fairways with its well-placed mounds and pot bunkers lend a true “links style” look to the course. Natural wetlands, winding creeks and four scenic lakes further compliment this Craig Schreiner design. Water comes into play on nine of 18 holes including water on the left side of 13 and right side of 16. Tregaron is an enjoyable and challenging test of golf for players of all skill levels. Play will be a four-person scramble format. The tournament is limited to 144 participants, and all proceeds are donated to the Education Foundations. Sign up as a single, twosome, threesome or foursome. We will do our best to pair up singles, twosomes and threesomes. Check-in will begin at 7:00 a.m. and includes a small breakfast item, with the shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Note, there is no driving range. The fee to enter is $150 USD per person, and includes green fees, golf cart, a small breakfast item and a full catered lunch after the round. Prizes will be given for closest to the pin on the par 3’s, long drive for both men and women, as well as the top 3 places. A large raffle will also follow the event.
Again, due to the very high cost and low demand, bus transportation will not be provided this year.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals, chapters or companies who wish to further support the goals of the Education Foundations. Sponsorships range from the Premium $5,000 level (only one available), to sponsoring individual holes for $300 USD. All activities related to the tournament will be handled by the RWIEF, a 501-c-3 organization, which is a separate entity from IRWA. Registration for the general membership is now open. Online Registration is required. Payment by credit card is highly encouraged. However, if necessary, other arrangements can be made by contacting the tournament chair. Please click Register Now! link below to register online.
A limited number of rental club sets are available at a cost of $60 per set, on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are required for these sets through the registration system. They must be pre-registered and paid for through the tournament registration. The golf course will not reserve rental clubs directly. We recommend bringing your own clubs this year, if possible.
