City Nature Challenge Spring BioBlitz

Join the Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust to discover and document urban biodiversity for conservation! This event is part of City Nature Challenge, a worldwide event intended to engage people in observing the many kinds of wild species living alongside us.

We will meet at Memorial Park in Neenah (which is near our Harness Farm preserve, where we have been having these BioBlitzes over the past couple years). From there, we will explore the urban and suburban area in search of our wild neighbors.

No prior experience is necessary for this event. All are welcome to join.

We will be using iNaturalist to record our observations during this event. iNaturalist is a free program that anyone can use (via smartphone or computer) to document and share their observations of other species. You do not need to use iNaturalist yourself during this event if you would prefer not to do so. If you would like to use iNaturalist, please create an account prior to the event. We will spend some time at the start demonstrating how to use iNaturalist for those who would benefit from this guidance.

City Nature Challenge: Northeast Wisconsin

City Nature Challenge is an annual event where "cities" around the world promote community engagement in documenting urban biodiversity. This year, NEWLT is helping to coordinate Northeast Wisconsin's participation in City Nature Challenge, joining multiple other organizations in the region in hosting events and engaging our community in this participatory science.
