DESCRIPTION:This is a continuing education workshop for mental health\, forensic\, legal\, correctional\, community-supervision professionals examining the developmental\, psychological\, behavioral\, environmental factors associated with sexually deviant thoughts/behaviors. For purposes of this workshop\, the term sexual deviance is used within a forensic\, court\, probation\, correctional\, and criminal-offense context to describe sexually harmful\, prohibited\, or offense-related behavior. It is not used as a clinical diagnosis and should not be interpreted as synonymous with a paraphilia or paraphilic disorder.
