6th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration in Westborough

Join us for the 6th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration, an “all ages,” free event.
This year’s theme is “Walking the Path to Dr. King’s Beloved Community."

The 6th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration, an “all ages,” free event taking place on Monday, January 15th from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Westborough High School. 


This year’s theme is “Walking the Path to Dr. King’s Beloved Community” and will feature an interview with principal and founder of Brick and Story, LaToya Thomas. Ms. Thomas will then lead small group community conversations centered around this year’s theme. Children are invited to participate in a dedicated children’s program led by Westborough resident and children’s author, Dr. Wednesday Boateng, with support from the Westborough High School Black Student Union.


Complimentary, light refreshments will be offered to all. Live language interpretation will be available with pre-registration by January 8th.


The event is co-hosted by Central MA Connections in Faith (CMACIF), Westborough Interfaith Clergy, Westborough Public Schools and Westborough Connects. 


La sexta celebración comunitaria anual del Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., un evento gratuito para todas las edades que se llevará a cabo el lunes 15 de enero de 4:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. en Westborough High School.


El tema de este año es “Caminando por el camino hacia la amada comunidad del Dr. King” y incluirá una entrevista con la directora y fundadora de Brick and Story, LaToya Thomas. Luego, la Sra. Thomas dirigirá conversaciones comunitarias en grupos pequeños centradas en el tema de este año.


Se invita a los niños a participar en un programa infantil dedicado dirigido por el Dr. Wednesday Boateng, residente de Westborough y autor de libros infantiles, con el apoyo del Sindicato de Estudiantes Negros de Westborough High School.


Se ofrecerán refrigerios ligeros de cortesía a todos. La interpretación en vivo estará disponible con preinscripción antes del 8 de enero.
