Tribal College & University Cyberinfrastructure Workshop

May 14 - 16, 2024

The 2024 TCU CI Workshop hosted by AIHEC will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel, 616 W 7th St, Tulsa, OK 74127 on May 14-16, 2024. (Travel days are May 13, and late on May 16.) The Workshop will be held in-person with an evening visit to the College of the Muscogee Nation.

The draft agenda linked above includes presentations, panel, breakout sessions to promote open discussions on continuing and future CI-initiatives throughout the Tribal College community such as cybersecurity and GLBA compliance, CI strategic planning, campus CI funding opportunities, connectivity to research and education networks, and CI facilitation for campus faculty and research.

Since AIHEC will reimburse (AIHEC Travel Policy linked above) travel expenses for at least one participant from each TCU, we encourage all TCUs to send their IT Director or Chief Information Officer (CIO). All CIO/IT Director participants in attendance are encouraged to prepare a 5-minute slideshow to share the current state of their campus network and any recent or planned upgrades with their fellow IT Directors/CIOs at the workshop.

Please note: Since the workshop is funded by a National Science Foundation grant (NSF#2325668), it is very important to register ALL participants for this meeting. Each TCU may bring at least one participant whose travel costs will be reimbursed after the event using the AIHEC reimbursement form. If every TCU cannot be represented at the workshop, AIHEC will consider reimbursing the travel expenses of additional participants from TCUs.

Using the registration link below, please register by 5:00 pm (EST) on April 15, 2024. Please include the names and campus role of each participant.

Please use the AIHEC room block to book your lodging for the workshop. Room block ends on April 15, 2024 or earlier if full.
