TOPIC SUMMARY: We will discuss recent trends in internal and external auditing to AS 9100, and how this might change and affect your current quality program. In addition, Joseph DeCarlo will discuss ways to add more value to your current internal audit system, and how this has helped many companies save money, resources, and time, by utilizing a different approach.


In addition, we will discuss future trends in auditing and QMS systems that are be on the way here. Finally, there will be an opportunity to ask questions, and provide feedback on best practices in QMS and audits.


Speaker Biography Credentials: Mr. DeCarlo holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and has completed studies in Engineering Management from CW Post. He is a trained Wish Granter and volunteer with Make*A* Wish Foundation of CT. In addition, he has presented working sessions at Harvard University, Northeastern University, Columbia University, Central Connecticut State University and Fairfield University He is a past Executive Chairman for Danbury, CT - ASQ. Exemplar Global 01613 (since 1994).


Major achievements: At Oriel Statamatrix, provided extensive training and implemented Quality Management systems for Medical Pharma, chemical, automotive and Aerospace companies to ISO 13485, GMP and ISO 9001, ISO 17025,IATF 16949, MDD, IVD


At SAI GLOBAL, where DeCarlo was Vice President of Professional Services, he conducted executive training/coaching and assessments events to hundreds of Fortune 500 companies; in addition he managed and coached teams of consulting professionals and office staff. As a key member of the senior management team, he was a noted speaker on sales, quality, and operations.


Implemented QMS systems to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, TS 16949, ISO 17025 QMS in hundreds of organizations in the past 30 years. Companies worked with include, Dow, WL Gore, PRI International, J&J, Swagelok, GM, Boston Scientific, GKN, & Covidien, Chrysler, FORD.


At LRQA, as a Manager of Business Development, Joseph was responsible for client projects to $500K. He traveled extensively and conducted numerous assessment and training events.


As a Division Manager at Quality TUV Rhineland of North America, he helped to establish TUV’s Quality Systems Group that was responsible for conducting quality assessment and training programs in North America.


As a Product Safety Engineer for Underwriters Laboratories, he conducted safety testing and certification of all types of electrical products for safety compliance to domestic and international standards.
