Join us for a workshop on Post-Incarceration Syndrome facilitated by Makin' It Happen! This workshop will discuss the emergence of Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS), a set of symptoms that are present in currently incarcerated and recently released individuals. Although Post-Incarceration Syndrome is not a recognized diagnosable mental health condition, individuals post-incarceration display these behaviors to providers very often and can perpetuate recidivism. What leads to incarceration, what is Post-Incarceration Syndrome, and what can we do to stop this vicious cycle of recidivism? |
