| The 2024 MAEA Spring Conference will feature a tour of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art galleries and exhibitions and one full day of hands-on professional development led by local artists in a variety of media. MAEA Spring Conference fees include admission to the guided tour of the Ogden on Friday, Saturday sessions, art supplies needed for the sessions, and lunch on Saturday. This year we are also excited to welcome our colleagues from the Louisiana Art Education Association(LAEA)! The museum tour will be Friday, April 26th, and the studio workshops will be hosted on Saturday, April 27th. All sessions are specifically geared to help Visual Arts teachers strengthen their teaching practices and show connections to the Mississippi & Louisiana Visual Arts Standards as well as give teachers opportunities to reflect, problem solve, and share new ideas and experiences. 1.3 CEU or 13 contact hours are available during this professional development conference. LAEA attendees can receive a certificate of completion for professional development hours. Register now for this amazing conference!
