Theranostics holds great promise for improving the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of many diseases. Advances in precision medicine have already led to powerful new discoveries and new treatments. But there are challenges including the costs of treatment and regulatory, infrastructure, logistical, and ethical issues. This panel will explore what theranostics is: the impact of it, the resources required by it, regulations and reimbursement practices, and finally the outlook for theranostics.
