The Alliance to Prevent Legionnaires’ Disease is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Water Wellness Summit: Protecting our Public Water Supply from Source to Tap.


The Summit will bring together leading experts representing public water supply entities, building and plumbing systems, public health, the scientific community, patient advocates, and many others for an interactive, discussion-focused conference exploring best practices, challenges, and new policy developments to protect our public water from source to tap with particular attention to the growing threats from Legionella bacteria and other waterborne pathogens.


All attendees will be able to share insights, exchange ideas, and outline strategies to protect our water systems. We will identify emerging issues and craft innovative approaches to ensure public health.


The 2025 Water Wellness Summit is free to attend — together, we will tackle emerging challenges and explore innovative solutions to protect public health. 



Water Wellness Summit Agenda


The Water Wellness Summit registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:00 AM.


9:00 AM – Water Wellness Summit Morning Session


Our morning session will review the latest research on waterborne disease outbreaks and current public health perspectives. We will also review the recommendations of the Microbial and Disinfection Byproducts Rule Revisions Working Group of the EPA’s National Drinking Water Advisory Council, as well as examine impacts of water quality on premise plumbing systems and risk mitigation. The session will conclude with a moderated panel discussion.

The afternoon session review source to tap protections to prevent Legionella exposure and recent state actions to reduce disease rates. We will also hear the perspectives of legislative champions of clean water initiatives. The session will also allow for the collective expertise of Summit attendees to be captured through small group discussions on solutions for water wellness source to tap. The session will conclude with messages on the personal impacts of Legionnaires’ disease and a call to action.
