In this 2-hour seminar we will walk you through many of the screens and capabilities of today’s typical GPS Chartplotter. We’ll take the mystery out of these units and show you how to set your units up to get the most out of them. During the seminar we will:
- Review how to create waypoints and routes.
- Understand how to use your boat track feature.
- Understand how to navigate following a route or track
- Review how to use the depth sounder features
- Understand how to use split screens and how to set them up and use them to the maximum potential
- Understand how to use the GPS/chartplotter to locate services near you such as marinas, fuel, boat ramps, etc.
- Learn how to check current and future tides and currents at various locations along your route.
- Learn how to set alarms, measure distance, estimate time of arrival, control screen brightness and set up your screens with the data that you really need.
This seminar will use many local examples and while many examples will utilize Garmin equipment screen shots the basic principles are the same for all GPS/chartplotter models.
