Youth Advocacy Caucus: Using Art and Music to Amplify Youth Voices

ODVN welcomes We Amplify Voices (WAV), an innovative central Ohio non-profit whose mission is to heal communities through creative expression. They use the expressive, healing power of the arts and the principle of connectivity to build stronger relationships and foster conversations within communities. WAV serves school-age youth, teens, and adults in recovery, women in prison, and survivors of human trafficking.

Join to hear Nicholas D’ Andrea, WAV's Executive Director, and WAV program coordinators share approaches on bringing people together through art and music. This valuable discussion will promote ideas to enhance activities for families, teens and children in domestic violence programs. Participants will discover how WAV designs their workshops, provides a safe space, and offers tools needed for people to heal, grow, and find power in their own stories, one voice at a time.

Participants will also learn about WAV's history of collaboration with ODVN and member programs. To learn more about the Songs for Survivors project, click here.
