Practical Management of Chronic Breathlessness

Join the latest Respiratory Matters webinar

Most people with significant respiratory illness experience daily breathlessness. Management of breathlessness will be described using the Breathing, Thinking, Functioning model, an approach that helps makes sense of persisting breathlessness and provides a structure for personalised symptom management. After an update on latest evidence for drug and non-drug treatments of breathlessness, the session will focus on practical management tips for use in clinical practice.

About the speaker: Dr Anna Spathis is a clinician and researcher at the University of Cambridge, with over a decade of experience as an NHS palliative medicine consultant and ongoing clinical work within the Cambridge Breathlessness Intervention Service. Her work focuses on community based interventions and professional education to support the management of chronic breathlessness and other complex symptoms associated with long term conditions.
