| SPEAKERS Jay Shelton Senior Vice President, Executive Risk Marsh and McLennan Agency LLC company Jay Shelton is the Senior Vice President of Executive Risk at Assurance/MMA. With 20-years of risk management experience, Jay leads the Executive Risk Team which focuses on Cyber Liability, Management Liability, Professional Liability, and other executive management coverages. Prior to this role, Jay was the senior vice president of Risk Management Services at Assurance/MMA. Before joining Assurance/MMA, Jay held several risk management roles for fortune 500 companies, including Trinity industries and GE Capital. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. He served in the United States Marine Corp and is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriter Society (PLUS) and Risk Management Society (RIMS).
Charlotte H. Lackey, CPM Chief of Tax Alabama Department of Labor Charlotte Lackey is a graduate of Troy University with a major in Accounting. She has a total of 36 years with the State of Alabama, over 33 of which have been with the Department of Labor in Tax operations. She began her career with ADOL in the Birmingham District Tax office as an Unemployment Field Deputy. She also worked as a Field Deputy in the Mobile District Tax office. In 1999 she accepted a promotion to the department’s central office. Since 1999 she has been the assistant supervisor and later section supervisor of the Audit & Cashiering section and Assistant Chief of Tax over Central Office Tax Operations. In June 2015 she became the Assistant Chief of Tax over Field Services Tax Operations. In 2021 she was promoted to Chief of Tax, a position she holds today. She is married with two grown children. Her interests include physical fitness, reading and volunteer work with her church. She has also served as a Cub and Boy Scout leader. |
