SUMMARY:Clinical Tips for Exotic Animal Practice
DESCRIPTION:Exotic animal practice presents unique challenges. Clinicians are asked to apply diagnostic tests and treatment modalities that are usually designed for domestic mammals to a variety of patients\, each with their own species-specific anatomy and physiology. This lecture will use a series of cases to discuss the application of commonly available diagnostics tools\, including hematology\, biochemistry\, protein electrophoresis\, and radiography to exotic animal practice. In addition\, clinical husbandry and approach to preventative care for exotic animal patients will be discussed.
