Marquetry and veneering have long added artistry and refinement to fine furniture. In this four hour introductory workshop, Wayne Delyea will guide students through the core principles and techniques behind these decorative methods. Topics include veneer selection and handling, marquetry vs. veneering, design basics, cutting and assembly methods, substrate prep, adhesives, and pressing techniques for stable panels. Instructor demonstrations and hands-on participation will build practical skills, and each student will receive a reference booklet for continued practice after class. |
