| Alexis Moore-Bennett, Analyst II, CalVet Alexis Moore-Bennett is an Analyst II at the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet), where she has served since August 2024. In this role, Alexis is deeply committed to advocating for California’s veterans by connecting them with essential benefits, services, and community-based resources that support their successful reintegration into civilian life. Her work focuses on ensuring equitable access to state and federal programs for all veterans, especially those from underrepresented and underserved communities.
Outside of her professional role, Alexis is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor degree part-time, with the goal of becoming a criminal defense attorney. Her legal studies, grounded in criminal justice, reflect her long-term mission to advocate for veterans on a broader and more impactful scale. She brings this growing legal knowledge into her current work by approaching veteran advocacy through both a policy and legal lens, helping to identify gaps in service, understand systemic barriers, and work toward more just outcomes for those who have served.
Alexis’s dedication to veterans' issues is also deeply personal. She comes from a proud military family and is surrounded by close friends who have served in the Armed Forces. These connections have shaped her understanding of the unique challenges veterans face and continue to inspire her commitment to public service. |
