Our next Interlibrary Loan Interest Group meeting

will take place on Friday, September 11th, at 10:00 am.

--------------------------------

Join Karlene from the St. Johns County Public Library System and chat about the challenges from the previous year with Interlibrary Loan World, and discuss other Interlibrary Loan-related topics.

Purpose: To connect with other Interlibrary Loan staff in Northeast Florida to share information and create a community as we navigate new waters.

Interest Group Facilitators: Karlene Adams and Amy Ackerman

Karlene Adams has been the InterLibrary Loan and Purchase Request Librarian within the Collection Development Team of the St. Johns County Public Library System for over 10 years. In her library career she has run an Anime Club & podcast, worked in the Circulation Department, and has been a lifelong library user. She borrowed her first InterLibrary Loan at age 12 when book #2 of the Camber of Culdi series was missing here at SJCPLS.

Amy Ackerman is the Manager of Support Services at SJCPLS. Former roles include Collection Development, Reference, and Circulation. She does not remember what her first InterLibrary Loan borrow was.

These projects were funded either under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services or the Library Cooperative Grant program. Florida’s LSTA and LCG programs are administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.

For FY2025-26, the total state and federal budgets for NEFLIN's programs are $710,000. 30% of the total costs (210,000) are supported by federal funds, and 70% of this program ($500,000) is supported by state funds.
