Dean Hunter is a licensed master electrician who has been active in the electrical industry for over 40 years.

Before working with the Construction Codes and Licensing Division of the Department of Labor and Industry as their Chief of Electrical Inspections, Dean was an electrical contractor, project manager and an instructor for the construction electrician program at Minnesota State Technical College.

Dean is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) and has served as an IAEI representative on CMP-7 during the last 5 NEC code cycles. Additionally, Dean participates as a technical committee member on the UL Electrical Council, NFPA 501A and NFPA Correlating Committee.


Jeremy Barnett has been an electrician since 2010 and with Generac since 2024. He is a licensed master electrician and electrical contractor in the State of Texas. 


He is NFPA CEPSS (Certified Emergency Power Systems Specialist) and Rocky Mountain Gas Association HVAC Technician. 


He is a member of NFPA and IAEI and IAEI Texas chapter member.

Dave Sullivan

Dave Sullivan started out working at a public utility, moved to an electrical distributor, became a sales manager for a nationwide manufacturer, and then became an electrical representative. He has been teaching National Electrical Code for over 25 years and Electrical Apprentices for over 30 Years.

Dave Sullivan has been a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors for over 25 years. He understands the code and its changes over the years, and teaches if in a way that electricians of all ages can understand and apply.


Diane Lynch has 25+ years’ experience in the electrical industry and serves as the Western (RES) for NFPA’s regional team.​ She is experienced in the electrical industry with a background in field installations, maintenance, inspector, plans examiner, educator, and consulting. ​ Previously served as an SME for third party examination groups, NECA Codes and Standards, NFPA Code Committee (CMP-10), and the State of Colorado’s Electrical Board. ​ Credentials include Master/Contractor licensed in 20+ states, ICC Electrical Inspector and Plans Examiner, and CTE Certified for Post Secondary Education.
