Artificial intelligence and fraud

In this session, we will explore the fraud threats to businesses and individuals, posed by the increased use of Artificial Intelligence ("AI").

The panel will specifically explore how fraudsters tailor their tactics using AI resources such as Deepfakes and open-source websites, to exploit different age groups — from tech-savvy Gen Zs to vulnerable seniors. Further, the panel will provide:

  • tips on how individuals and businesses can protect themselves.
  • actionable strategies to identify and prevent fraud perpetrated through the use of AI.

The panel objectives are to:

  • identify specific AI fraud typologies and the vulnerabilities that impact businesses and individuals.
  • provide insights of AI-powered tools and techniques used to perpetrate identity theft, phishing attacks and deepfake fraud schemes. 
  • assess the potential risks and vulnerabilities that AI poses to organizations.

  • provide details of how Generative AI (“GenAI”) tools could spur fraud losses 
  • discuss effective countermeasures using a combination of AI-driven tools and human intelligence to detect, prevent and mitigate AI-enabled fraud.
