The Introduction to Navigation seminar presents information to enable recreational boaters to practice safe passage using navigation charts with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology on devices such as chart plotters.


This seminar introduces recreational boaters to navigation and follows on to the basic principles discussed in the America’s Boating Course using charts in combination with GPS. 


A good introduction for beginning captains and any crew members.

We will introduce you to principles and techniques to determine safe routes, creating waypoints in your Chartplotter and other GPS devices. This seminar gives you current skills and is a great foundation to learn more about piloting and celestial navigation.
