The purpose of this 3-day workshop is to introduce the attendees to proper documentation of impression evidence using important lighting methods as well as hand-drafted sketching techniques and 3D technology programs. Attendees will be able to discuss, report, and apply techniques to the documentation and collection of impression evidence for the process of identification to occur. Attendees will utilize advanced photographic methods using various lighting techniques and scales to demonstrate size in an effort to assist forensic lab personnel in the comparison and identification of evidence on crimes scenes to known collection standards. The attendees will be introduced to the different techniques in the collection of impression evidence through casting, gel lifters, Mikrosil and inking tires. 


All attendees must bring photography equipment, tripods, and flashlights. 


The fee for this course is $775

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to rising costs and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:

In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $150 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.

NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE.
