Photography Master Class

Moab, Arches, Dead Horse Point & More!

Limited to 5 Photographers • November 9-14, 2025 • Tuition $2895

Imagine standing before the towering red rock formations of Arches National Park, the winding canyons of Dead Horse Point, or the rugged beauty of Fisher Towers. Now imagine having the time, space, and expert guidance to slow down, explore, and truly see the scene in front of you—not just as a tourist snapping a quick photo, but as a photographer crafting an image with intention, depth, and impact.

This is what our Moab Master Class Photography Workshop is all about. Over six days, you’ll learn how to compose images that draw the viewer into the scene, creating a lasting emotional connection. Instead of rushing from one “must-see” spot to the next, we’ll take a more thoughtful, relaxed approach - one that allows you to fully engage with the landscape and your own creative process.

What’s Included:

  • Daily Field Instruction: Engage in hands-on guidance as you traverse the park, learning to capture its grandeur and intricate details.
  • Evening Image Editing Sessions: Two focused classroom sessions will guide you through advanced post-processing techniques, enhancing your ability to transform raw captures into stunning photographs.
  • Individual Image Critiques: Receive personalized feedback and support on your work, ensuring every shot can reach its full potential.
  • Focused Curriculum on Composition & Storytelling: Master the art of composing images that evoke emotion and capture the essence of your surroundings.

Benefits of Attending:

  • Small Group Experience: With only 5 spots available, enjoy an immersive, personalized learning environment that allows for in-depth exploration and one-on-one feedback.
  • Expert Instruction: helping you develop both your technical skills and creative vision.
  • Real-World Practice: Apply what you learn immediately as you capture the stunning landscapes of Grand Teton, reinforcing classroom concepts with practical experience.
  • Enhanced Creative Process: Develop a stronger narrative in your photography by understanding the principles of composition and storytelling, ensuring each image tells a unique story.

Because we’re keeping this workshop intimate - just five photographers - you’ll have plenty of one-on-one coaching in the field. We’ll guide you through composition techniques, how to balance elements in the frame, and how to create a strong sense of place. Whether you’re drawn to grand vistas or small, intimate details, you’ll learn how to make the most of each scene, capturing images that feel intentional and compelling.

And it doesn’t stop there. In the evenings, we’ll gather for two relaxed but insightful classroom sessions, where we’ll walk through image processing techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop. These sessions will give you the tools to refine and enhance your work, ensuring that your final images reflect the beauty and emotion of what you saw in the field.

This workshop isn’t about rushing to capture as many photos as possible. It’s about slowing down, seeing with fresh eyes, and learning how to create photographs that you’ll be proud to print and share. It’s about deepening your connection to photography in a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment.

And yes - spouses and partners are welcome! Non-photographers can join all location visits, making this a wonderful shared experience. The classroom and critique sessions, however, will remain exclusive to workshop participants so that you can focus on growing your skills without distraction.

If you’re ready to take your landscape photography to the next level—while enjoying great company, unforgettable scenery, and a relaxed, enriching experience—this workshop is for you.

We will organize some group dinners and include free time in order to explore and enjoy downtown Moab. Our pace will be leisurely, but we will be out in the field every day. None of the hikes are long or difficult with the longest being around a half mile, though most of the time, our shooting locations are within 100-200 yards of parking.

The ultimate goal is to help our photographers capture and create great photographs, and to have relaxing fun while doing it. Since we will only take 5 photographers during this trip, space is obviously limited.
