Join Other Advocates for A Night-Before Game Night and Laughter Yoga! Kick off the retreat early by joining us for an evening of connection on Wednesday, November 18 in Columbia. Game Night is an optional casual evening of board games, good conversation, and a chance to connect with advocates from across the state before the full day of the Retreat begins. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register early if you'd like to join.
This year includes a new feature of our night-before networking event: Laughter Yoga! Laughter Yoga combines laughter exercises with yogic breathing, and will be hosted by Springfield Tenants Unite Leader Sarah Barnts. In addition to Game Night and Laughter Yoga, there will be open board gaming and time to mix and mingle with your peers. Light snacks will be provided and additional refreshments will be available for purchase.
Travel Assistance Registration is free, but we understand that travel costs can still be a barrier. We are offering limited assistance, including gas cards and hotel accommodations, available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need support, please indicate this on the registration form. All requests are due by 5:00 p.m. CT on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Accessibility We are committed to making our events accessible to everyone. You will find a section in the registration form to note any accommodations you may need. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at advocacy@mffh.org.
Spread the Word: Invite a Fellow Advocate If you know an advocate or organizer who would benefit from the connections, workshops, and conversations at the Advocates’ Retreat, feel free to forward them this email. Your quick share might be the reason they get to join us this year.
