| Speaker Profile: Hamlet Yousef is the Co-Founder/Managing Partner at IronGate Capital Advisors, a venture fund investing in dualuse national security and defense technologies. Before founding IronGate in 2018, Mr. Yousef worked in the Federal Government's national security and diplomacy sector, supporting federal agencies on cybersecurity, counterterrorism, and other challenges from nation-state and nonconventional adversaries. His government service focused on applying technology to mission-critical needs. In addition to running IronGate, Mr. Yousef is Managing Partner of SABiO Global Advisors, a boutique business intelligence and geopolitical advisory group. In this capacity, he advises private clients, family offices, and the U.S. Government on manufacturing supply chain strategies shaped by complex geopolitical dynamics. SABiO also conducts due diligence and counterparty risk analysis for complex transactions and joint ventures. In addition to advising multiple defense technology companies, Mr. Yousef is an Economic and Legal Warfare Advisor to the Irregular Warfare Initiative, a research and policy program that studies, analyzes, and develops strategies to understand and address the human, political, and informational dimensions of modern irregular and hybrid conflict. IWI is supported by the Modern War Institute at West Point and the Empirical Studies of Conflict Project at Princeton University. In this role, Mr. Yousef works with leaders from industry, academia, and the national security and defense community to raise awareness of the tenets of irregular warfare and the importance of private-sector engagement. Mr. Yousef is also a Senior National Security Advisor to Magnet Defense, which is building autonomous warships for the U.S. Government, and to Tower Strategy Group, which advises corporations, investors, and governments on how to engage Washington effectively - not just to understand the system, but to move it Prior to joining government, Mr. Yousef had experience conducting business development, due diligence, and geopolitical risk analysis in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. He worked on behalf of private investors to identify and perform feasibility analyses on cutting-edge disruptive technologies in the energy and technology sectors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Yousef spent nearly a decade in sales and marketing roles at Stanley Black & Decker. Mr. Yousef earned an MBA from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis in International Finance, and a BS inInternational Business from Florida State University. |
