Ken VanBree is a skilled CAD specialist with a strong background in electrical engineering, computer-aided design, and hardware development. He has published multiple articles and a book on the advantages and challenges of as-built photography, sharing his expertise and insights with the AEC community. Ken is passionate about innovating and improving the as-built documentation process.


Ken is a member of the US Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD.org) Board of Directors where he works closely with contractors, architects and other building documentation professionals to advocate for digitization and innovation in Building Documentation by shaping industry standards and influencing policy.


As a member of the National Association for the Remodeling Industry (NARI.org). Ken is looking for ways to adapt some of the tools and practices used in the commercial construction industry to the needs of residential builders and remodelers. He is also working toward ways to preserve data gathered during the residential construction process and pass it on to homeowners in a form that is easy to access for maintenance and repair during the lifetime of the home.
