DESCRIPTION:How can you get students to participate more and learn more in a way that sticks? Discovery-based teaching helps students learn in ways that stick. With teacher guidance\, students look at examples\, notice the patterns\, figure out the rules\, then try using what they've found. This keeps the teacher talking less and the students learning more. Workshop participants will come away with practical ways to bring discovery-based learning to their classrooms.
