iMAPS New England Meeting & Tour at AFFOA

Our first Chapter Technical Meeting of 2024 at AFFOA, a non-profit, public-private partnership chartered with igniting a US manufacturing revolution in the textiles industry. Textile substrates provide opportunities to broaden the canvas of sensing in applications from healthcare to apparel, home textiles, automotive interiors and beyond. However, integrating sensors into electronic systems and integrated circuit (IC) sensors within textile materials results in several integration challenges, specifically in soft-system integration to maintain flexibility and data quality.

PARKING

AFFOA HQ is located at 12 Emily Street, Suite #2, Cambridge, MA 02139. There is a parking lot directly adjacent to the office where you are welcome to park. The spots are labeled AFFOA and there is additional parking at 57 Erie Street, Cambridge, MA 02139. There are pictures and details in the document linked below. Also, street parking is readily available at that time of day; there are parking meters that are operable until 6:00 PM, so bring some quarters, if you plan to arrive early.
