Meet The Presenter

Bascom K. Bradshaw, DO, MPH, MAS, FAOCOPM, FACN 


Dr. Bradshaw is a board-certified psychiatrist and aerospace medicine specialist. He previously served as Chair and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has over 20 years of experience in military and clinical medicine across five countries and three continents, most recently working as a contract psychiatric hospitalist and aerospace psychiatry consultant. He has served on active duty and the Alabama Army National Guard; his last active duty assignment was Chief Medical Officer of the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center in addition to serving as an aerospace psychiatry consultant for US Army Aerospace Medicine.

He received his degree in osteopathy from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine; bachelor of science in Biology as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Tampa; master of public health from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and master of aeronautical science in Aviation/Aerospace Human Factors, as well as a graduate certificate in Systems Safety from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Dr. Bradshaw is residency-trained in aerospace medicine and past President of the Aerospace Medicine Division of the American Osteopathic College of Occupational and Preventive Medicine. Additionally, he is a Life Member and Associate Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA); Fellow in the American Osteopathic College of Occupational and Preventive Medicine (FAOCOPM); and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Neurologist and Psychiatrist (ACONP) and member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). He has received numerous military awards and decorations which include member of The Honorary Squadron of the Second U.S. Dragoons, Order of Military Medical Merit, and The Order of the Spur

To earn CE credit, participants must be on time, sign in and sign out, attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation. This is a 1.5 hour course. Partial credit is not permitted. Must be present the full 1.5 hours to receive CE certificate. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 5 business days of course completion.

Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 07/31/2024 - 07/31/2025.
