Join ODVN’s Policy Director Maria York, MPA as she explains the latest state and federal issues affecting domestic violence programs across Ohio. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the state bills S.B. 187, S.B. 100, and H.B. 111, alongside federal bills such as the Safer Homes and Families Act and the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act. Discover how these legislative changes could directly impact your services to domestic violence survivors. By delving into the mechanisms of policy formation, including how a bill becomes law in Ohio, participants will be able to shape impactful advocacy efforts at national, state, and local levels. Attendees will receive the latest version of the ODVN Advocate's Toolkit, curated to enhance your advocacy work and provide practical resources to drive meaningful change within your communities.
