As the online world continues to broaden, we need to be ever vigilant in protecting our clients & our licenses. We will explore 5 common online behaviors that can constitute ethical breaches for social service professionals, & identify ways to build policies and practices that can minimize risk. We will address confidentiality breaches for active clients, confidentiality breaches for deceased clients, boundary violations, unprofessional behavior, & misrepresenting one’s profession – with attention to applicable state and national codes of ethics.
