Math Instruction & Achievement: What Does Neuroscience Have to Do With It?
Morning Sessions will present the neuroscience that underpins math learning as well as current research that explores how executive functions affect math learning and performance. Both sessions will provide information related to difficulty with math learning and disability, including foundational information about dyscalculia. Attendees will choose from the following afternoon breakout sessions: - Math instruction for students in primary grades - Math instruction that supports later success in Algebra 1 and Geometry - Designing an assessment framework to support effective math interventions
