Safety is a priority when designing elevated work areas! Understanding best practices in height safety can help with creating elevated work environments that keep safety in mind. As ICI (industrial, commercial, institutional) rooftops are becoming crowded with the latest technology to support the needs of the building, they are also becoming difficult to navigate safely. With architects, engineers and specifiers understanding what constitutes a fall hazard, we can then minimize such hazards during the design phase of a project, ultimately reducing the risk of injury while working at heights.

Highlights:

  • An understanding of standards/regulations that impact design
  • Creating a safer climb to the rooftop – a review of access points
  • How to recognize and mitigate a fall hazard
  • How to go about pairing safety solutions with fall hazards
