This mature yard has thousands of plants of around 150 species. In spring, woodland ephemerals bloom with blues, whites & lavenders surrounded by various textures of green. The prairie & savanna bloom throughout summer & in September, asters & goldenrods attract bees. The Rock River can be seen through native trees, shrubs, vines, grasses, sedges & forbs. Of note are a live green screen comprised of vines & a woodland rain garden. A new project is a small floating garden of wetland plants like those found on this part of the river.
