| Dive into the creative processes behind Where Art Meets Embroidery, the culminating exhibit of Level 3 and 4 textile art students from the Gail Harker Creative Studies Center. Journey through pathways of art and design while exploring contemporary embroidery and it's traditional roots. Learn where student's ideas began, some with an original photograph, while others with a memory, or the remembrance of a feeling. The transformation from thought into realized art form develops through dedication, inspiration and perspiration. Be inspired to unleash your own expressive self!
Please note, this talk takes place on the 2nd floor of the Museum. There is an elevator from the ground floor to 1st floor of the building, however, the 2nd and 3rd floors are only accessible by stairs.
After the talk, join us for a free Artist Reception from 2-4pm. Enjoy refreshments, see the exhibition, and chat with artists! |
