| The 2026 MAEA Spring Conference will feature a tour of the Walter Anderson Museum of Art with a watercolor hands-on activity and one full day of hands-on professional development led by local artists in a variety of media at the Mary C O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center. MAEA Spring Conference fees include admission and hands-on activity to the guided tour of the Walter Anderson MoA on Friday, Saturday sessions, art supplies needed for the sessions, and lunch on Saturday. The WA MoA tour will be Friday, April 17th, and the studio workshops at O’Keefe CAC will be hosted on Saturday, April 18th. All sessions are specifically geared to help Visual Arts teachers strengthen their teaching practices and show connections to the Mississippi Visual Arts Standards as well as give teachers opportunities to reflect, problem solve, and share new ideas and experiences. 1.2 CEU or 12 contact hours are available during this professional development conference.
