WHAT: Join City of Eugene Recreation and Willamette Riverkeeper for a paddling cleanup effort starting from Eastgate Woodlands at the the end of Aspen Street (aka: D Street Boat Ramp) picking up trash to Alton Baker Boat Ramp. Limited seating available for those without boats - please indicate your reservation in registration.
WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, May 14th | 8:30AM - 12:30PM Everyone: Please meet at the take out at Alton Baker boat ramp at 8:45AM. To get there: follow the entrance into Alton Baker Park over the canal and past the main parking areas. Follow the road around to the left, and take the first right turn for the boat ramp parking area. We will provide a City of Eugene shuttle to take you to the put-in. BYOB'rs before arrriving at the take out, please unload your gear at Aspen Street boat ramp and head to the boat ramp parking area at Alton Baker Park.
DETAILS: Please be on time - we will run a shuttle from the take out to the put in from Alton Baker boat ramp at 8:45AM. If you are running late, please text Michelle Emmons, organizer (see below for info). Once we arrive at the put-in at Aspen Street boat ramp, we will conduct a safety / clean up plan briefing before heading out. Please dress for the weather (and the water!). Please bring your own water bottle, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. PFDs are required and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event. PFDs will be provided for those reserving a seat in a raft.
